Owen Finegan has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Helicopter Trust Fund. He will move to take the role of CEO of the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Helicopter Trust Fund on 1 July, 2011.

On the 30th of October 2010, Snowy Hydro SouthCare announced a milestone of 4000 missions in 12 years. The Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue Helicopter had been tasked to a Primary mission on the Monaro Highway, just outside Cooma to retrieve a male patient in his sixties.

The Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue Helicopter, the region’s primary aero medical rescue helicopter, based in Canberra on the Monaro Highway at Hume, has been a work horse whilst Canberra and the region has stopped to celebrate the festive season with 26 missions in 15 days.

On Thursday December 9, Snowy Hydro SouthCare the trust that funds the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue Helicopter hosted an evening at the Batemans Bay Bowling Club to acknowledge and thank the South Coast community. The evening was supported by local businesses Capital Chemist and Service One Banking.

The joint ACT winners of the „Name the Toy‟ Competition are class mates Jakob Gilmayer and Cooper James Morgan from St John Vianny‟s Primary School. These students each submitted their colouring in sheet with the name “Flash”. The NSW winning submission came from Rye Park Primary School from Year 3 student, Katie Bonfield.
