Wayne has more than 30 years of fundraising experience, having worked for hospitals, universities and the Australian Red Cross before joining Snowy Hydro SouthCare in April 1999. He has overseen the growth of Snowy Hydro SouthCare from its inception to an organisation that now raises in excess of $1 million per year. He personally established a $4.15 million-dollar partnership with major naming-rights sponsor Snowy Hydro Limited and received an award from the Governor-General for meritorious service in 2005.

Originally from Colorado, Jackie moved to Australia with her husband, Mike, in 2006 and has fallen in love with the country. With a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts and a concentration in creative writing, she took a significant career change after completing a year of national service with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corp. Since that time, Jackie has worked with a variety of nonprofit organsiatiosn including, Colorado State University's Alternative Spring Break Program, El Pomar Foundation, Indigenous Community Volunteers and now, Snowy Hydro SouthCare.

A country girl at heart, Jo moved to Canberra in 2003. She lives with her husband Nick, 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats and one very noisy bird.Prior to joining Snowy Hydro SouthCare, Jo's career has primarily been managing Retail and Finance Organisations.As a very "outgoing" person - in other words "loves to talk", Jo has a passion for dealing with people and is excited at the opportunity of being able to help raise awareness and funds to put back into the community through the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Helicopter Service.

"I look forward to the challenges and rewards of contributing to such a worthwhile organisation, and being part of a group that gives me a great sense of pride by providing the community with such a valuable service".


Alison Tonkin

Alison was born and bred in Canberra, is the single mother of two boys and has a passionate interest in fundraising events and community activities. Having fulfilled a number of volunteer roles over the past ten years, Alison completed her Diploma of Business Administration and now works as the Marketing Coordinator for the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Helicopter Fund.

 "I have found what I consider to be my dream job as I can combine my professional education and training with my personal interest in fundraising. The best thing about working here is that our fundraising contributes to saving the lives of the people who live in or visit our region."
